Senior Utilities Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Utilities Engineer to lead the design, maintenance, and optimisation of plant utility systems. The role ensures reliable operation of power, water, HVAC, compressed air and related infrastructure while driving continuous improvement across the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programmes for all utility systems.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot critical failures and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Coordinate repairs to minimise production downtime and maintain detailed maintenance records.
• Identify and implement efficiency improvements to reduce operating costs and energy consumption.
• Support equipment upgrades, spare‑parts planning and inventory management.
• Supervise technicians and contractors, providing technical guidance and cross‑functional coordination with production, engineering and QA teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory standards, and support audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in utilities or facilities engineering, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior role.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
• PRC License is an advantage; Lean Six Sigma or similar certifications are a plus.
