Senior Technical SEO

About the role

A full-time Senior Technical SEO position, working from home, with a schedule of 9:00am to 6:00pm UK time (4:00pm to 1:00am PH). As a senior individual contributor in the SEO team, you lead the strategy and delivery on a portfolio of client accounts, taking full ownership, setting direction and driving measurable progress. You work closely with the Head of SEO to develop best practice across the department. The employer works mainly in regulated industries such as finance, iGaming, legal and healthcare; experience in these verticals is advantageous.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an active, documented SEO strategy for each client, reviewed and updated at least quarterly.
• Lead technical SEO audits, keyword research, content gap analysis and competitor benchmarking.
• Oversee on-page, technical and off-page recommendations, coordinating with content and outreach teams.
• Stay up to date with algorithm updates and apply them proactively to client work.
• Identify opportunities to grow organic rankings, traffic and conversions.
• Understand how AI and large language models affect search, including AI Overviews and generative search, and share knowledge with the team.
• Use AI tools to improve the quality or efficiency of SEO work, and report on AI's impact to clients.
• Deliver monthly performance reports, track KPIs and adjust strategy where targets are missed.
• Log time daily, keep accurate records of account activity and strategy documents, support new client onboarding and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Proven track record delivering SEO results in a digital agency, typically 5+ years of progressive experience.
• Strong technical SEO skills, comfortable running audits and fixing issues across a range of CMS platforms.
• Good working knowledge of how AI and LLMs affect search and organic strategy.
• Experience in regulated industries (iGaming, finance, legal, healthcare) is advantageous.
• Confident presenter able to explain SEO strategy to non-technical stakeholders.
• Highly organised, able to manage multiple accounts at once, and comfortable working remotely in a hybrid UK/Philippines team.
