Senior Tax Accountant (CA/CPA) – Fully Remote

About the role

A fully remote Senior Tax Accountant position, advertised by Remote People, works within a high-performing team reconciling and preparing financial statements and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies. Key responsibilities

• Oversee and review the work of junior and intermediate accountants, guiding them to meet quality standards
• Review delegated tax jobs, including individual tax returns, partnerships, trusts and companies
• Review and finalise Business Activity Statements
• Train and mentor junior and intermediate accountants
• Prepare and review complex tax jobs, including large and integrated client groups
• Ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with Australian tax requirements across all entity types
• Apply knowledge of Division 7A, FBT, CGT, superannuation and payroll tax to review work and guide juniors
• Prepare client emails and correspondence clearly and professionally

Required profile

• At least five years of professional accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or equivalent experience
• Previously worked on businesses with a turnover of AU$1-50m
• Experience with primary producers and agricultural businesses is preferable but not necessary
