Senior Tax Accountant – 100% Work From Home (Independent Contractor)

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Accountant to join our team on a full‑time independent contractor basis. This remote position allows you to work from home while taking full ownership of Australian tax compliance for a variety of client entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review Australian tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and corporations in line with ATO requirements.
• Manage client files end‑to‑end, including workpapers, reconciliations, and final tax return preparation.
• Ensure workpapers are complete, accurate, and fully support the positions taken in tax returns.
• Conduct tax research and apply relevant legislation to compliance and advisory tasks.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Australian tax regulations.
• Analyze financial information and produce clear reports for tax planning and advisory outcomes.
• Communicate and collaborate with internal team members to gather information and streamline workflows.

Required profile

• Extensive experience preparing Australian tax returns for multiple entity types.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Availability during AEST business hours for meetings and team collaboration.
