Senior Payroll Automation Analyst

About the role

DePuy Synthes (part of Johnson & Johnson) is recruiting a Senior Payroll Automation Analyst in Taguig, Philippines, with alternate hybrid locations possibly in Manila. The role leads the strategy, design and delivery of automation solutions that support payroll operations, compliance and reporting, partnering Payroll, HR, Finance and IT to improve accuracy, compliance and efficiency across end-to-end payroll processes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize automation opportunities across payroll processes (gross-to-net, validations, reconciliations, reporting, tax support) and drive standardisation of payroll workflows
• Gather requirements with Payroll, HR, Tax and Finance stakeholders and document current versus future-state processes, translating payroll rules into automation logic
• Build solutions using Alteryx for data transformation and reconciliation, UiPath for RPA, and Azure for web apps and data integration, with error handling, logging and audit traceability
• Deploy and support payroll automation, coordinating with payroll calendars and providing production support during weekly, biweekly and monthly cycles
• Develop Power BI dashboards for reconciliation, headcount, cost and tax reporting, and KPIs such as cycle time and error rates
• Enforce automation governance, SOX compliance, segregation of duties and audit documentation
• Mentor automation developers and analysts and liaise with payroll operations, IT and external vendors

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance, Business or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in payroll operations, payroll technology or automation roles
• Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processes, including taxes, filings and reporting
• Experience with payroll systems (e.g. SAP, Workday, ADP) and global payroll operations
• Knowledge of SOX controls and audit frameworks
• Ability to work with global teams across NA, EMEA, LATAM and APAC time zones

Required skills

• Alteryx, UiPath, Azure and Power BI
• Integration of payroll data with finance systems (GL, reporting platforms)
• Familiarity with SFTP, PGP encryption and data governance standards
