Senior MSP Technical Lead / Solutions Architect

About the role

Hunt St, which helps Australian companies hire remote talent in the Philippines, is recruiting a Senior MSP Technical Lead / Solutions Architect for a client, an established Australian IT services provider covering IT infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity and technical support. The role is fully remote, paid through an Employer of Record (EOR) arrangement, and requires a candidate already acting as a senior technical authority in an established MSP environment. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM AEST with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.

Key responsibilities

• Act as senior technical authority across multiple client environments, manage technical accounts and lead and mentor L1, L2 and L3 engineers
• Design and implement end-to-end solutions across Microsoft 365, Entra, Intune, Azure, Windows Server, networking, firewalls, backup and security
• Own technical projects from discovery and scoping through implementation, testing and handover
• Handle complex L3 escalations, troubleshoot issues and recommend longer-term fixes
• Identify security risks, support cybersecurity projects and suggest improvements through automation and scripting

Required profile

• 7+ years of relevant IT experience, including senior technical leadership in an MSP
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Entra, Intune, Azure, Windows Server, networking, firewalls, backup and cybersecurity
• Experience managing technical projects and leading and mentoring engineers
• Strong client-facing communication and commercial judgement
• Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities with minimal oversight
