About the role
Hunt St, which helps Australian companies hire remote talent in the Philippines, is recruiting a Shopify Developer and E-Commerce Specialist. You will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor, working remotely from home. The client is a company that designs functional, stylish products for dogs and their owners. The role covers the technical and operational side of the business: product accuracy, 3PL integrations, website issues, sales and promotions, and product launches.
The schedule should align with Australian business hours (roughly 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, with flexibility as a contractor. Pay is listed as $2,000 to $3,000 AUD per month.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and update multiple Shopify stores, including products, collections, navigation and visuals, and manage catalog structure, bundles, tags and variants
- Coordinate product uploads and updates, including imagery, descriptions, metafields and pricing across regions
- Troubleshoot daily website and checkout issues such as incorrect charges, broken links, product display errors and inventory sync problems
- Implement promotions, discount codes and campaign settings, and liaise with IT on technical bugs
- Work with 3PL partners on order processing and fulfilment, fix Shopify-to-fulfilment integration issues and support returns and bundle breakdowns
- Monitor ecommerce KPIs with Shopify Analytics and other tools, spot trends and errors, and suggest UX and conversion improvements
- Identify workflow gaps and propose improvements to website flow, catalog structure and fulfilment processes
Required profile
- 5 years of experience managing e-commerce operations, preferably in a high-SKU Shopify environment (500+ SKUs)
- Proven track record of managing and optimising Shopify stores and growing online revenue through data-driven decisions
- Experience coordinating with 3PLs and troubleshooting fulfilment issues
- Detail-oriented, proactive problem solver with excellent communication and collaboration skills
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of Shopify backend architecture and order workflows
- Familiarity with ecommerce marketing basics such as apps, promotions and discount codes
- Comfortable handling both operational tasks and technical troubleshooting
What we offer
- Salary package of $2,000 to $3,000 AUD per month
- Remote work from home
- Flexible working conditions
- A leadership role with ownership and impact
Candidates must disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work and mark the engagement as "Independent Contractor" on their LinkedIn profile. Apply through Hunt St.
