Senior Mechanical Engineer - Oil, Gas and Mining

About the role

Fyfe, a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy active in Australia, is recruiting a Senior Mechanical Engineer for its Philippines team. The role is remote and supports the Energy and Resources division, which works on mining, oil and gas projects such as process plant modifications, flowlines, gas transmission pipelines and above-ground processing facilities. The candidate is initially hired by Fyfe's partner agency in the Philippines.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate the mechanical behaviour and performance of designs
• Collaborate with design engineers and project managers so that products meet industry regulations and client expectations
• Work on project portfolios across the energy and resources sectors

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
• Typically 10+ years of experience, with relevant technical and commercial background and demonstrated leadership
• Experience in the Australian oil and gas or mining industry preferred; other industry experience also welcomed
• Ability to manage conflicting deadlines and client requirements, work independently on multiple projects and commit to health and safety

Required skills

• Strong understanding of ASME B31.3 and AS 2885
• Experience with Caesar and Autopipe programs
• Proficiency with EPDECOM and a general understanding of CP systems
• Analytical and technical report writing skills
