Senior Linux Engineer

About the role

The Senior Linux Engineer will join a global team of technical experts responsible for designing, operating, and improving the company’s infrastructure and network services. This senior‑level position provides deep expertise in Linux systems, automation, and infrastructure operations while serving as an escalation point for complex issues.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimise the availability and performance of new and existing infrastructure.
• Lead patching activities across Linux and Windows environments.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software, hardware, networking, and system issues for internal and client environments.
• Support system monitoring, redundancy, backup, and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Develop and maintain automation using Ansible, Packer, and Terraform.
• Automate provisioning, configuration management, maintenance, and deployments.
• Collaborate with System Engineering, Security, and Operations teams to ensure reliable and secure services.
• Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on Linux system administration.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls).
• Experience with automation and configuration‑management tools such as Ansible, Packer, or Terraform.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
• Experience with centralized authentication (LDAP, Active Directory) and virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, MaaS).
• Ability to independently manage technical projects from concept to completion.
