Senior Linux Administrator

About the role

Analog Devices is seeking a Senior Linux Administrator to manage and enhance its Linux infrastructure supporting semiconductor design and critical business applications. The role combines system administration, security, and automation in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu servers.
• Monitor system health, apply patches, troubleshoot issues, and perform performance tuning.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, email, printing, and web/application services.
• Support physical, virtual (VMware/Hyper‑V) and AWS‑based environments, including storage (NetApp, NFS) and backup/recovery (Rubrik).
• Administer HPC clusters, job‑scheduling platforms, and engineering data‑management tools.
• Implement security hardening, vulnerability remediation, firewall management, and support audit/compliance activities.
• Develop Bash scripts and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and support DevOps initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, network, security, cloud, and application teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years of Linux system administration experience in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu, and virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Knowledge of NetApp storage, NFS, and Rubrik backup solutions.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP) and security best practices.
