About the role
As a Senior Human Resource Associate you will provide end‑to‑end HR operational support for the JAPAC region, focusing on Australia, the Philippines and Japan. You will ensure payroll accuracy, compliance and a seamless employee experience across multiple countries.
Key responsibilities
- Own and manage end‑to‑end payroll operations across the JAPAC region, ensuring accurate inputs, validations, employee changes and coordination with payroll providers.
- Handle employee lifecycle processes and deliver day‑to‑day HR guidance to employees and managers, including onboarding, probation, promotions, transfers, contract renewals and off‑boarding.
- Manage induction and onboarding activities such as employment contracts, new‑hire administration, orientation and HR system updates, respecting country‑specific requirements.
- Administer employee benefits and support statutory compliance requirements.
- Monitor and manage absence records and employee documentation.
- Conduct HR interviews for junior positions and support reference and background checks.
- Prepare employment‑related letters and documentation.
- Produce HR reports, metrics and analytics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Contribute to HR process improvements and support policy, process and system changes.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HR Operations, HR Administration or HR Generalist roles.
- Proven experience in payroll coordination, onboarding, employee administration and HR reporting.
- Strong knowledge of employee lifecycle processes and HR best practices in multinational, multicultural environments.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Understanding of employment practices, payroll administration and statutory requirements in Australia, the Philippines and/or Japan.
- Experience with Australian payroll practices and compliance is highly regarded.
- Experience with Workday, especially for employee lifecycle administration, reporting and system maintenance, is highly regarded.
