Senior GL Accountant

About the role

Five9 is seeking a Senior GL Accountant to support its US Accounting team. The role is remote and based in the Philippines, focusing on month‑end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting for foreign subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly close packages for foreign subsidiaries.
• Create Cost Plus journal entries, funding allocations, and cash projections.
• Execute day‑to‑day accounting tasks including fixed assets, prepaid expenses, payroll, and accruals.
• Enter monthly journal entries and perform reconciliations for designated balance‑sheet and operating accounts.
• Review daily bank activity and prepare journal entries for bank reconciliations.
• Assist with quarterly reviews, year‑end audit procedures, and SOX control testing.
• Prepare monthly balance‑sheet and profit & loss flux analyses.
• Collaborate with other departments to determine accruals and closing entries.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.

Required profile

• Strong communicator able to work with peers and management in a fast‑paced environment.
• High attention to detail with solid technical accounting experience.
• Proven ability to prepare journal entries, reconcile financial statements, and ensure data accuracy.
• Energetic, responsive, and enthusiastic about continuous improvement.
