Senior Game Puzzle Design Artist (Themed Visuals & Motion) - Remote Dayshift

About the role

D2B is hiring a Senior Puzzle Design Artist (Themed Visuals & Motion) for a remote dayshift position following New Zealand hours, with pay of PHP 80,000 to 100,000 per month and public holidays in New Zealand. You will turn each puzzle into finished, on-theme visual assets (one question slide and a matching answer slide) that fit inside a polished game rather than a slideshow. The role is senior and largely self-directed, with early guidance including a brief and a moodboard.

Key responsibilities

• Turn briefed puzzles into polished, on-theme visual assets, one finished slide per question plus an answer slide showing the answer and often how it is solved.
• Generate source imagery with AI tools, then curate and clean it up.
• Composite, retouch and lay out final artwork in the Adobe suite and export to AVIF.
• Build animated question slides in After Effects and export to MP4 for more complex puzzles.
• Adapt convincingly to a different visual style for every theme, such as anime, photorealism or pixel art.
• Spot problems in briefs and puzzles early and either flag them or solve them.

Required profile

• Senior-level design experience with strong, independent design instincts; this is not a junior role.
• Stylistic range across illustrated, photoreal, retro-game and other aesthetics.
• Hands-on experience with AI image generation, able to brief, push and refine results.
• Strong written English and ability to describe puzzles and give clear feedback.
• Self-managing and deadline-driven, able to work with minimal oversight.

Required skills

• Deep command of Photoshop and Illustrator, and confidence in After Effects for motion.
• Ability to work entirely within the Adobe suite so files transfer cleanly.
