Senior Estimator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead full‑cycle estimating for a U.S.‑based commercial construction firm. The role is remote, supporting pre‑construction activities, trade partner development, and AI‑driven process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects from bid intake through internal review, including quantity takeoffs, pricing, subcontractor solicitation, and bid leveling.
• Review and interpret architectural, structural, civil, MEP and specialty documents to develop accurate scopes and cost components.
• Maintain organized bid documentation, calendars, and status trackers while identifying scope gaps and constructability risks.
• Develop and solicit trade‑specific scopes, analyze subcontractor proposals, and prepare clear assumptions and risk items for management.
• Build and nurture a network of U.S. subcontractors, conduct outbound outreach, and maintain detailed relationship records.
• Identify and test AI‑enabled workflow enhancements for document review, data organization, and estimating automation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of construction estimating or pre‑construction experience supporting U.S. commercial projects.
• Proven full‑cycle estimating expertise, including bid planning, scope development, subcontractor solicitation, and internal hand‑off.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and document‑control skills with advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Excellent written and spoken English and comfort making outbound calls to U.S. trade partners.
• Reliable remote work setup with high‑speed internet and backup power.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data validation).
• Takeoff and construction platforms such as Bluebeam Revu, PlanSwift, STACK, On‑Screen Takeoff, or Procore.
• Familiarity with AI and automation tools (Power Automate, Make, Zapier, n8n, Python, APIs, Power BI).
