Senior Consultant - Finance Transformation & Operational Excellence

About the role

Manulife is hiring a Finance Transformation & Operational Excellence Senior Consultant for its Operational Excellence team at MBPS in Quezon City. The consultant provides performance evaluation assessments for consultants within the assigned squad, based on their demonstrated technical knowledge and application of technical skills during project delivery. The role is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive the pipeline of transformation and operational excellence initiatives and programs within the assigned function(s)
• Ensure projects and services delivered by the squad are high quality, deliver expected benefits and impact, and are delivered on time and within budget
• Lead medium-sized, medium-risk, segment-specific transformation and process improvement initiatives, and act as project or program manager for complex, high-risk or organization-wide initiatives
• Provide tactical direction and guidance to the project delivery team
• Align with function and project stakeholders so initiatives stay prioritized according to milestones and steering committee decisions
• Build strong relationships with offshore business partners and collaborate with other GBS support functions
• Negotiate and resolve conflicts within the project team
• Cultivate a continuous improvement culture by leading OE Forums with offshore partners and taking part in the GBS Operational Excellence community of practice
• Implement and roll out OE and Agile training plans, standards and procedures, and run management trainings and awareness sessions
• Conduct LEAN Six Sigma workshops, mentor operations leaders and coach Function Leads in running mature operations

Required profile

• At least 6 to 7 years of management experience leading process and performance improvement projects in finance and accounting, investments, actuarial or retirement operations
• At least 3 years of project management experience
• Nice to have: management consulting experience, experience leading large, cross-functional, multi-site transformations, and experience working with stakeholders across North America, Canada and Asia

Required skills

• Familiarity with commonly used BPO tools and systems such as Nice, Verint, IEX, ACD, CRM, ticketing systems, knowledge bases, LMS and Power BI (nice to have)
• Lean, Six Sigma or Agile methodology experience preferred
