Middle Office Onboarding Specialist

About the role

Manulife is hiring a Middle Office Onboarding Specialist in Quezon City to handle end-to-end onboarding and implementation across fund and retirement products. The role covers account setup, documentation, data validation, trade processing support and stakeholder coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end onboarding and implementation activities.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients and external partners for account setup and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with KYC/AML and regulatory requirements.
• Manage documentation, onboarding workflows and client communications.
• Execute system setup and validate data integrity across platforms.
• Analyze datasets, reconcile discrepancies and support data conversions.
• Identify operational issues and implement process improvements.
• Handle escalations and manage complex, high-priority cases.
• Drive continuous improvement, adopt new tools and use AI and automation to optimize workflows and build scalable operating models.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Onboarding, Middle Office or Investment Operations.
• Knowledge of fund onboarding, 401k/defined contribution or trade lifecycle.
• Willingness to work night shifts and to adjust working hours according to business needs.
• Commitment to a 3-day on-site work requirement.
• Willingness to report to Manulife offices in Quezon City or Cebu City.

Required skills

• Preferred: MS Office (advanced Excel), data tools such as Power BI and Power Apps, and financial systems such as Bloomberg, Aladdin and SimCorp.
• Familiarity with custodians, brokers and payroll/data providers (e.g. Fidelity, Principal, The Standard, MassMutual, ING) and payroll providers such as ADP, Ceridian and Paychex.
• Knowledge of trade lifecycle, reconciliation and settlements.
