Senior Claims and Variation Engineer

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Senior Claims and Variation Engineer to lead the management of claims, variation orders, and provisional interface sums for the MCRP-02 project in the Philippines. You will work closely with project teams to ensure accurate documentation, timely submission, and successful negotiation of all claim‑related matters.

Key responsibilities

• Detect, analyse, and submit claims, variation orders, and provisional interface sums.
• Lead a team of engineers in preparing, submitting, and defending claims for time extensions, cost overruns, and unforeseen conditions.
• Collect and validate supporting evidence for each claim and variation.
• Review variation requests to assess validity, impact on schedule and budget, and maintain detailed records.
• Monitor project cost tracking related to claims and variations.
• Negotiate with clients/consultants to achieve approval and payment of claims and variations.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of professional experience in civil construction.
• Strong background in contract management, cost analysis, and technical documentation.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
