Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead high‑level accounting activities, supporting month‑end and year‑end close processes while ensuring financial records are accurate and complete. This role involves complex tasks such as accrual calculations, bank reconciliations, payroll entries, and preparation of formal financial statements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and review month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
• Prepare monthly accruals, prepayments, provisions, and other adjusting entries.
• Conduct bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations, investigating unusual items.
• Post journal entries for payroll, depreciation, reclassifications, and other transactions.
• Analyze general‑ledger accounts, identify discrepancies, and ensure proper documentation.
• Prepare supporting schedules and analyses for financial reporting and audits.
• Assist in internal and external audit processes by providing required schedules and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years progressive accounting experience, preferably full‑cycle.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting/ERP systems.
