Road Logistics Specialist (GS)

About the role

The Road Logistics Specialist (GS) supports Kuehne+Nagel’s end‑to‑end transport operations, ensuring accurate data handling, carrier coordination and timely delivery of critical goods such as medical devices. The role acts as the primary contact for internal and external customers, consolidating information from multiple systems to drive smooth order entry and shipment tracking.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to, follow up and resolve carrier and warehouse partner inquiries, escalating complex issues as needed.
• Cross‑reference carrier website milestones with eTN data, report discrepancies and inform management.
• Generate weekly and monthly tracking reports, including basic Zendesk dashboards.
• Produce Excel‑based forecast reports for carrier partners using eTN data.
• Receive carrier invoices, perform reconciliation, update DIT files and review with P&P.
• Export eTN data, apply pricing, update customer invoice files and coordinate with P&P.
• Identify carrier credits, communicate weekly to partners and upload approved invoices to ACON.
• Cleanse and convert transport data to standard Excel formats for analysis.
• Track and trace shipments, upload PODs, update ETAs on eTrucknow and perform manual bookings on carrier websites.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Capability to work both independently and within a team.
• Ability to meet demanding deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Highly organized and detail‑oriented.
