Revenue Accountant

About the role

Five9 is seeking a Revenue Accountant to join its Philippines office. The role focuses on ensuring accurate revenue recognition for SaaS contracts, supporting audits, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review sales contracts and assess revenue recognition compliance with company policy and SaaS accounting standards.
• Prepare deal and contract summaries for material transactions.
• Create journal entries for revenue, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable on a global basis.
• Assist with financial audits, including reconciliations, documentation, and communication with external auditors.
• Support month‑end and quarter‑end close activities.
• Collaborate with Sales Operations, Customer Support, and Collections to reconcile customer accounts.
• Manage and resolve billing and revenue customer issues.
• Identify and implement process improvements, including SOX‑related controls.
• Participate in revenue accounting and order‑to‑cash cycle projects.
• Stay current on new revenue accounting rules and develop related policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably with Big 4 or public accounting exposure.
• Active CPA license.
• Hands‑on experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Prior experience in software/SaaS environments.
