Remote Software Developer – AI Platform

About the role

We are seeking a remote Software Developer on a contract basis to design, build, and optimise core software components that support training and evaluation of next‑generation AI systems. No prior AI experience is required; strong software engineering skills and domain knowledge are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software for AI model training and evaluation workflows.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to deliver high‑quality, maintainable code.
• Translate technical requirements into efficient, scalable solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and provide actionable feedback.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex software issues throughout the development lifecycle.
• Document code, processes, and methodologies for transparency and team collaboration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to analyse technical requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Java, C++, or Go.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with software development best practices, testing, and documentation.
