Remote IT Systems Engineer (Projects & Deployments)

About the role

The Remote IT Systems Engineer will lead innovative technology projects, improve system performance, and foster collaboration across distributed teams. This role focuses on delivering high‑quality solutions that meet client expectations while working entirely remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Champion successful implementation of key projects, ensuring client requirements and timelines are met.
• Proactively optimize IT system performance and reliability.
• Enhance team collaboration and communication throughout each project lifecycle.
• Configure and deploy infrastructure changes, including firewalls, servers, networking, and wireless components.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience designing, testing, and deploying complete technology solutions.
• Proven project execution record with remote team experience.
• Hands‑on deployment and troubleshooting across endpoints, servers, cloud technologies, and networks.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure consulting environment.
• Familiarity with Professional Services Automation (PSA) tools or ticketing platforms (e.g., ConnectWise) is a plus.
• Experience in Managed Service Provider (MSP) settings and Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) tools (e.g., Kaseya, LabTech/ConnectWise Automate) is advantageous.

Required skills

• Windows Server environment setup, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
• Hyper‑V hypervisor configuration.
• Microsoft 365 apps (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams) and cloud identity management (Azure AD, Entra ID).
• MDM platforms such as Intune and MaaS360.
• Email migration from on‑prem Exchange to O365 using tools like BitTitan.
• NAS deployment (QNAP, Synology, Dell).
• Firewall, server, networking, and wireless configuration.
• Remote Monitoring & Management tools (Kaseya, LabTech/ConnectWise Automate).
