Remote Data Engineer (Python)

About the role

We are looking for a senior Data Engineer with deep Python expertise to design, build, and maintain production‑grade data pipelines. The position is fully remote and open to candidates based in the Philippines. You will work closely with analytics and machine‑learning teams to ensure reliable data ingestion and transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and orchestrate ingestion workflows for APIs, web data, and file sources.
• Handle structured and semi‑structured formats such as JSON, XML, HTML, and CSV.
• Implement resilient web‑scraping techniques, including session handling, proxies, and request automation.
• Optimize SQL queries and transformations for analytical workloads.
• Design, build, and maintain robust Python‑based data pipelines.
• Apply testing frameworks, monitoring, and best engineering practices to ensure pipeline reliability.
• Guarantee data quality, consistency, and scalability across all workflows.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering with expert‑level Python skills.
• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluent English for effective collaboration with an Australian‑based team.
