Remote Accountant (US GAAP)

About the role

We are seeking a remote Accountant to support our client’s homeowner association accounting needs across Texas and Arizona. The role involves handling daily transactions, preparing reports, and assisting with tax filings while working night‑shift hours.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and journal entries in client accounting systems.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for clients.
• Gather and organize information for state and federal tax filings.
• Post payments to client accounts and issue vendor payments.
• Onboard new clients by setting up accounting systems and creating initial reports.
• Answer accounting‑related questions and resolve escalated bookkeeping issues.
• Process homeowner write‑offs and related projects accurately and timely.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the department manager.

Required profile

• Advanced English communication skills (written and spoken).
• At least 1 year of experience working on an accrual basis.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with US GAAP.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Own laptop/desktop meeting specified hardware and internet requirements.
