QMS & Compliance Engineer

About the role

The QMS & Compliance Engineer supports the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the site’s Quality Management System. Working within RTX’s Collins Aerospace division, the role ensures compliance with AS9100, EASA Part 21G, customer requirements and corporate policies while fostering a culture of quality across the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the site QMS in line with AS9100, EASA Part 21G and internal standards.
• Manage document control activities, including review, revision, approval, distribution and archival of procedures and work instructions.
• Prepare for and support internal, customer, certification and regulatory audits, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Conduct process assessments, layered process audits and identify opportunities for system improvement.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, operations and support functions to ensure QMS compliance.
• Deliver QMS awareness and process training to employees as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality or a related technical field.
• 2–4 years of experience in Quality Management Systems, Quality Assurance or a similar quality function.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally and drive continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of AS9100.
• Familiarity with EASA Part 21G.
• Experience with document control and audit preparation.
• Understanding of layered process audits and corrective action management.
