Purchasing Staff

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Purchasing Staff member to manage the acquisition of all materials and services required for the daily operation of our company. The role ensures that stock levels are maintained, vendors are effectively managed, and deliveries are received on time and at the best possible price.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase necessary materials and services, generating and tracking purchase orders.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the receiving department to confirm deliveries.
• Maintain relationships with vendors, regularly canvassing at least three suppliers for each item or service.
• Negotiate prices to obtain the most reasonable rates while ensuring quality.
• Handle all purchasing paperwork, including documentation for delivery and accounts payable.
• Update internal departments on the status of their requests.
• Organize and maintain the safety and cleanliness of the stockroom.
• Protect confidential information and perform other duties as assigned.
