Purchasing Staff

About the role

The Purchasing Staff member will support the procurement function by processing purchase requests, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring that inventory levels meet the operational needs of the organization. This role bridges the gap between the purchasing department and warehouse operations, contributing to smooth material flow.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requests and obtain quotations from suppliers.
• Coordinate deliveries and monitor supplier performance.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure stock availability.
• Prepare and keep purchasing records, reports, and related documentation.
• Work closely with warehouse personnel on receiving, storage, and issuance of items.
• Verify deliveries against purchase orders and update inventory records.
• Assist with inventory counting, reconciliation, and transaction monitoring.
• Ensure proper filing and documentation of procurement and warehouse records.
• Collaborate with various departments to meet material requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• Preferably experience in purchasing, inventory control, or warehouse operations.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications.
