Purchasing Officer

About the role

The Purchasing Officer will support Cebu Ocean Park’s mission by managing the procurement of goods and services needed for daily operations. This role ensures timely sourcing, cost‑effective purchasing, and smooth coordination with internal teams and external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate vendors, obtain quotations, and negotiate terms.
• Monitor inventory levels, plan material requirements, and coordinate deliveries.
• Maintain accurate documentation, records, and basic contract reviews for purchase orders and supplier agreements.
• Utilize office software and procurement systems (e.g., spreadsheets, ERP) to process requests.
• Handle multiple purchasing requests, meet deadlines, and track budgets.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues.

Required profile

• Strong procurement and sourcing abilities.
• Experience in inventory monitoring, materials planning, and delivery coordination.
• Proficiency in documentation, record‑keeping, and basic contract review.
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles is a plus.
• Previous experience in purchasing, supply chain, or related roles; hospitality or leisure experience is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
