Purchasing Assistant Manager

About the role

McDonald’s Philippines is seeking a Purchasing Assistant Manager to lead strategic procurement and category management for food and paper products. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure cost‑effective sourcing, supplier excellence, and seamless supply‑chain operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full procurement lifecycle, including proposal development, sourcing strategy, supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and category management.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier mapping, commercial negotiations, forecasting, inventory management, risk mitigation, and supplier accreditation.
• Drive cost optimisation and supply‑chain innovations, conducting regular business reviews to improve vendor performance and service quality.
• Analyse procurement data to generate actionable insights and collaborate with internal teams for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Economics, or Industrial Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, or logistics, with a focus on food categories.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, including data gathering, reporting, and root‑cause analysis.
