Project Officer – CAPACities Project (Tagbilaran City)

About the role

Catholic Relief Services is seeking a Project Officer to support the CAPACities project in Tagbilaran City. The role involves monitoring, reporting and coordinating activities that enhance disaster risk reduction and climate‑resilience efforts for vulnerable communities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and organise implementation of project activities according to the detailed implementation plan, ensuring compliance with CRS quality standards and donor requirements.
• Assist partners in collecting, analysing and reporting project data; prepare regular reports and documentation for LGU partners and donors.
• Identify information for case studies and best‑practice reports, and ensure learning is captured throughout the project cycle.
• Analyse implementation challenges, flag inconsistencies and recommend adjustments to schedules and plans.
• Support capacity‑building and technical assistance for community‑based DRR work, ensuring activities follow project guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in project support, participatory action planning and community engagement.
• Fluency in Bisaya, Tagalog and English.
• Ability to travel up to 30 % of the time as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
