Project Manager – Hydropower Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead major infrastructure projects, focusing on hydropower, dams and tunnels, based in Mandaluyong City, Philippines.

Key responsibilities

• Administer large EPC contracts and manage claims, variations, EOT assessments and dispute avoidance.
• Lead multidisciplinary consultant or Owner's Engineer teams on complex infrastructure projects.
• Oversee project controls, scheduling, progress measurement and reporting using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Ensure project governance, assurance, audit readiness and lifecycle controls throughout delivery.
• Implement and monitor the Project Management Plan to maintain compliance with SMEC Business Management System requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (required).
• Chartered Professional Engineer or equivalent registration (preferred).
• Minimum 20 years of professional experience, including at least 15 years on major infrastructure such as hydropower, dams or tunnels.
• At least 10 years in project management or Employer's/Owner's Engineer roles.
• International project experience, preferably in Southeast Asia, and pumped‑storage hydropower experience (highly desirable).

Required skills

• FIDIC contract frameworks and contract administration.
• Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Excel, Power BI and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Aconex or equivalent document management systems.
• Technical software: ETAP, AutoCAD, Smart Plant Electrical, CYME, PSS/E, CEDEG, Agi32, Dialux.
