Principal Specialist, Procurement

About the role

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Principal Specialist in Procurement to lead sourcing activities for its operations in the Philippines. The role supports the end‑to‑end procurement cycle, ensuring that goods, services and materials are obtained on the best possible terms while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Execute procurement processes, standards and operational plans, including the preparation of RFPs, negotiation briefings and cost analyses.
• Respond to client inquiries regarding order status, changes or cancellations to guarantee satisfaction.
• Purchase goods, materials, supplies and services, prepare purchase orders and approve payments under general guidance.
• Negotiate prices and compile price proposals, financial reports and other data to support reasonable pricing decisions.
• Develop bid packages and manage new account acquisition through RFP preparation.
• Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Coordinate with suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve issues such as shortages or late shipments.

Required profile

• University degree with at least 5 years of relevant procurement experience, or an advanced degree with 3 years, or 9 years of experience without a degree.
• Understanding of Lean principles and contractual terms and conditions.
• APICS or ISM certifications (e.g., CPIM, CPM, CSCP, CPSM) are a plus.
• Experience using SAP for MRP is a plus.
