Plant & Equipment Manager - Precast

About the role

ACCIONA's construction business is looking for a Plant & Equipment Manager to be based in the Philippines. The role covers the overall coordination, planning and management of the staging area, precast fabrication and equipment, ensuring strict compliance with technical specifications, safety regulations and quality control during installation. The position reports to the Construction Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and oversee the plant's production plan so that prefabricated element production rates meet the on-site assembly programme.
• Approve manufacturing procedures, including mould design, reinforcement placement, curing systems and internal post-tensioning methods.
• Ensure prefabricated elements comply with technical specifications, geometric tolerances and concrete strength requirements.
• Manage and coordinate the plant team, including superintendents, quality engineers, technical staff and operators.
• Oversee procurement, maintenance and operational availability of plant equipment and heavy machinery such as gantry cranes and handling equipment.
• Design and optimise the main storage area, including inflow, storage, inventory control and outflow of critical materials.
• Coordinate with the construction manager and precast plant chief so that materials and segments reach the work front without bottlenecks.
• Organise internal and external transport logistics, including heavy vehicles and delivery routes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in marine and/or precast yard engineering with equipment management exposure.
• Relevant certifications in marine engineering or equipment management are an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of heavy construction plant, equipment and lifting systems used in precast segmental bridge construction.
• Leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate and manage stakeholders in multicultural environments.
