Geodetic Engineer - Marine Infrastructure

About the role

ACCIONA is looking for a Geodetic Engineer for its construction business, based in the Philippines. The engineer supports marine and coastal infrastructure projects through geodetic and hydrographic surveys, data processing and collaboration with the technical and construction teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform geodetic and hydrographic surveys for marine and coastal infrastructure projects.
• Establish control points and benchmarks for project alignment and construction.
• Process and analyse survey data using geodetic and GIS software, and prepare topographic, bathymetric and geospatial maps.
• Collaborate with marine engineers to integrate geodetic data into structural designs.
• Operate and maintain GPS, GNSS, sonar and other marine survey instruments, ensuring compliance with international standards.
• Prepare survey reports, charts and documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Support the technical office in preparing bills of quantities, including identifying deviations to the Contract.
• Support procurement by defining requirements for subcontractors and suppliers and help the quality and commissioning department with survey controls and checklists.
• Manage the survey team, including budgeting and cost control, and advise the construction team on construction methods.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Geodetic Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in marine engineering projects.
• Preferably a licensed Geodetic Engineer and relevant marine engineering certifications.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, teamwork and problem-solving.

Required skills

• Hydrographic survey techniques and GNSS systems.
• CAD/GIS software and marine geospatial tools.
• Knowledge of marine construction methods and environmental considerations.
