Pharmacovigilance Specialist (Hybrid)

About the role

ICON is a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation. As a Pharmacovigilance Specialist in Manila, you will monitor the safety of pharmaceutical products by analysing, interpreting and reporting adverse event data in line with regulatory requirements. The position is hybrid, with 2-3 days per week in the office in Makati City.

Key responsibilities

• Take responsibility for pharmacovigilance and drug safety deliverables, ensuring quality and efficiency.
• Collect, review and analyse adverse event reports so they are reported accurately and on time in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Carry out risk assessments and signal detection to identify and evaluate potential safety concerns.
• Work with cross-functional teams on safety-related inquiries and investigations.
• Prepare and submit safety reports and regulatory submissions on time.
• Stay up to date on pharmacovigilance regulations and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline or healthcare-related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in pharmacovigilance, drug safety or a related area, preferably in a clinical or pharmaceutical setting.
• Hands-on experience handling pharmacovigilance cases from clinical trials, including case processing, assessment and follow-up.
• Proven ability to lead PV projects, resolve issues, manage cross-functional stakeholders and report to sponsors.
• Must be willing to work in a hybrid setup (2-3 days a week in the office).
• Legal right to work in the country where the role is based.
