Payroll Implementation Manager

About the role

EY GDS is looking for a Payroll Implementation Manager (requisition 1738386) in Taguig, Philippines. The role leads global payroll implementation programs for the Global Payroll Operate business within the People Advisory Services division of the Tax service line, delivering large-scale implementations for clients across multiple geographies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead large-scale global payroll implementation programs across regions and countries, aligned with client expectations
• Apply risk management, governance, quality assurance, issue resolution and reporting best practices to deliver on time, in scope and budget
• Act as primary point of contact for client stakeholders and manage their expectations, scope and change control
• Oversee integration of payroll technology platforms with client systems (inbound and outbound) and ensure compliance with global payroll regulations
• Manage cross-functional teams, including internal resources and third-party vendors, and oversee country-level projects
• Manage the full implementation lifecycle: planning, discovery, design, configuration, testing, parallel runs, cut-over, go-live and stabilization
• Develop client-facing materials such as training, tools, processes, escalation procedures and performance measures
• Report to executives, run steering committee meetings and define KPIs for client satisfaction and team performance
• Mentor project managers and project stakeholders, and interview, onboard and develop talent

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Administration or Operations; MBA or business management skills preferred
• 10-15 years of overall experience, with at least 8 years of hands-on payroll implementation for large organizations
• Experience managing multi-country payroll implementations in a shared service environment
• Program and project management experience (PMP, Prince2, Agile preferred)
• Experience with AI-powered analytics, automation or intelligent payroll operations

Required skills

• End-to-end global payroll implementation knowledge, including upstream and downstream processes
• Strong IT and functional integration knowledge (Workday, SuccessFactors, HRIS, payroll platforms, T&A and HRMS modules)
• Expertise in UAT, scenario testing, payroll parallel runs, data validation and go-live cutover
• Ability to define, document and roll out procedures across departments, and to build standard implementation methodology, tools and templates
• Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills in a client-facing environment
