Outcome Lead (Climate Action)

About the role

UNDP is seeking an Outcome Lead for Climate Action to support the Philippines’ transition to a low‑carbon, climate‑resilient economy. The role will drive the implementation of national climate strategies, coordinate multi‑stakeholder initiatives and ensure alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework 2024‑2028.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, planning and execution of climate‑action programmes, including mitigation, adaptation and circular‑economy initiatives.
• Provide policy analysis and evidence‑based recommendations to national authorities and partners.
• Facilitate coordination among government agencies, UN entities, NGOs, private sector and local communities.
• Oversee monitoring, evaluation and reporting of programme outcomes against UNDP targets.
• Support climate finance mobilization and the integration of climate considerations into development projects.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in environmental science, climate policy, sustainable development or related field.
• Proven experience in leading climate‑related programmes in developing country contexts.
• Strong analytical, planning and implementation skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
