Operating Room Nurse (RN) – Davao City

About the role

The Operating Room (OR) Nurse (RN) at CURE will support surgical teams in Davao City, providing high‑quality nursing care to patients who cannot afford treatment. This full‑time, entry‑level position involves maintaining a sterile environment, assisting with anesthesia, and ensuring patient safety throughout each procedure.

Key responsibilities

• Observe and enforce aseptic technique to prevent microbial transmission.
• Implement universal precautions and manage the sterilization process for all surgical instruments and materials.
• Monitor the sterile field continuously and take corrective action when breaches occur.
• Apply the nursing process – assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate each surgical patient.
• Assist with anesthesia induction and emergence, and participate in emergency resuscitation when needed.
• Document nursing activities accurately in patient records and complete required hospital forms.
• Maintain a safe environment concerning electrical, fire, chemical, radiological, and occupational hazards.
• Anticipate the needs of surgeons and the surgical team based on procedure specifics and surgeon preferences.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) qualification.
• Entry‑level experience or willingness to learn in an operating‑room setting.
• Commitment to serving underserved children and families.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthetists, and support staff.
