Nurse I – Clinical Support

About the role

The Nurse I provides essential clinical support in a busy outpatient setting, ensuring patient consent, confidentiality, and accurate documentation while assisting doctors during examinations and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Secure patient consent and maintain confidentiality of all interactions and health information.
• Prepare consultation and procedure rooms at the start of each shift, perform daily equipment checks, and report any defects.
• Verify completeness of supplies, maintain cleanliness and orderliness of clinical areas.
• Use the clinic information system to queue patients, triage when required, and record patient identity and information electronically.
• Assess and document patient conditions, including vital signs and chief complaints.
• Assist doctors during examinations and procedures, following orders and ensuring precise documentation is transferred between shifts.
• Submit monthly purchase requests for supplies and consumables.

Required profile

• Ability to obtain and document patient consent while safeguarding confidentiality.
• Attention to detail for equipment checks, supply management, and accurate record‑keeping.
• Capability to triage patients according to urgency and local health protocols.
• Competence in measuring vital signs and documenting clinical observations.
