Motorpool Engineer

About the role

The Motorpool Engineer will oversee AboitizPower’s vehicle fleet and stationary equipment, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and cost‑effectiveness. Working closely with the Administration team, internal departments, and drivers, you will help keep the fleet running smoothly while supporting the company’s mission to transform energy.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and lead the motorpool team, schedule daily tasks, conduct performance appraisals, and approve leave applications.
• Implement and monitor preventive maintenance schedules (PMS) for vehicles, generators, and related equipment; prepare parts requisitions.
• Plan and coordinate trip schedules, monitor vehicle trackers and dashcams, and manage fuel and oil withdrawals.
• Handle administrative compliance, including vehicle registration, licensing, insurance, and damage claims.
• Prepare OPEX/CAPEX budgets, track financial performance, and generate monthly vehicle performance reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in vehicle/generator repair and maintenance.
• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience and 2 years of project experience.
• Valid driver’s license and strong attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with fleet management systems (e.g., Geotab, Webscast).
• Experience using vehicle trackers and dashcams.
• Preventive maintenance planning.
• Budget execution (OPEX/CAPEX) and financial reporting.
• Logistics coordination and fuel operations management.
