Lifeguard – Pool and Fitness Center Operations

About the role

The Lifeguard ensures a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests using the pool and fitness centre. You will combine on‑site safety monitoring with the management of daily operations, staff scheduling, and guest services.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee pool and fitness centre operations, including SOPs, policies, and staff schedules.
• Maintain facility cleanliness, safety standards, and high‑quality service for guests.
• Recruit, train, and develop pool and fitness staff, ensuring compliance with hotel and safety protocols.
• Promote and sell fitness programmes, personal training, memberships, and wellness packages.
• Monitor industry trends to improve service offerings and pricing strategies.
• Participate in health, safety, and emergency preparedness training and meetings.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; recreation, PE, hospitality or related diploma is a plus.
• Valid Lifeguard License from a recognised organisation.
• Current certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED use.
• Previous lifeguarding experience in a hotel, resort, water park or similar facility preferred.
