Legal Counsel

About the role

The Legal Counsel will lead the implementation of the company's corporate governance objectives, ensuring that internal processes, systems, and employee actions support good governance and align management with shareholder interests. This senior legal professional will also oversee compliance, government relations, and labor relations programs.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the implementation of corporate governance goals and initiatives.
• Manage compliance with applicable laws and regulations across the organization.
• Maintain relationships with grantors, government agencies, and other external stakeholders.
• Oversee claims handling, KPI reporting, and assist the General Counsel with dispute management.
• Lead and supervise the company's labor relations policies, programs, and procedures.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with a strong corporate orientation gained in a corporate environment.
• Extensive experience in human resources and labor relations management.
• Solid knowledge of corporate civil (contract) law, labor law, and administrative regulations.
