Junior Medical Content Analyst – Remote Night Shift

About the role

MicroSourcing is seeking a Junior Medical Content Analyst to work remotely during night shift hours. You will support the review and updating of medical coding guidelines and ensure accurate claim processing for Medicare, Medicaid, and other payers.

Key responsibilities

• Review Medicare, Medicaid, specialty society, and alternative coding authority publications to identify guideline updates.
• Enter researched clinical content into Lyric software accurately, following claim outcome processes.
• Compare current coding authority documentation with existing software logic to flag outdated code sets.
• Share coding and billing data with internal teams and escalate complex issues to senior experts.
• Validate, organize, and maintain source documentation for claims editing packages.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of national code sets, reimbursement requirements, and medical policy updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, or a related healthcare field.
• Valid AAPC CPC, AHIMA CCS‑P, or AHIMA CCS credential (Apprentice status acceptable).
• Minimum 1 year experience in healthcare or insurance payer environments (claims processing, chart auditing, billing, or clinical editing).
• Solid understanding of US health insurance frameworks, including Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid billing protocols.
• Experience with pre‑payment claims editing and payment integrity processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Lyric software for clinical content entry.
• Strong knowledge of medical coding standards and US health insurance coding rules.
