Java/Kotlin Backend Developer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to maintain and enhance an existing application. The role involves troubleshooting production issues, implementing new features, performing system upgrades, and ensuring high code quality through testing and best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support the existing Kotlin‑based system, understanding its architecture and flow.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to diagnose and resolve production defects.
• Perform library upgrades and apply security fixes for identified vulnerabilities.
• Design and develop new backend features based on functional requirements.
• Write thorough unit tests to guarantee code stability and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience with Java.
• At least 2 years of experience developing in Kotlin.
• Proven ability to work independently and within a team of analysts and developers.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for production issue resolution.
