IT Project Manager

About the role

BDOBDO Unibank, Inc. is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of software applications that support core banking operations and consumer‑facing platforms. The role ensures projects align with business goals, regulatory requirements, and high‑quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in line with stakeholder expectations.
• Lead software development projects from initiation through deployment, using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
• Serve as the primary liaison between business units, engineering teams, and third‑party vendors.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and monitor issues to prevent delays.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and seamless integration with financial systems.
• Promote a collaborative environment and support team members to achieve project goals.
• Continuously improve project management processes and tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing software development projects in the banking or financial services sector.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Willingness to work onsite in Ortigas or Makati.

Required skills

• Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) knowledge.
• Tools: Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project.
• Project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications (preferred).
