About the role

We are looking for a Design and Calculation Engineer to join our railway‑sector team in Zaragoza. The role involves creating and analysing mechanical designs for industrial machinery used in railway applications, ensuring compliance with performance and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage manufacturing projects, including repairs and extensions of machines and vehicles, using 2D and 3D design software.
• Prepare, analyse and review calculations for brakes, performance, derailment risk, stability, frames, axle bodies and related components.
• Define processes, work procedures and installation guidelines covering mechanical, electrical, electronic, programming and hydraulic aspects, and control execution times for internal staff and external contractors.
• Oversee product reception and finalisation, supervising all items before final delivery to meet IN‑OUT quality requirements.

Required profile

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• Preferable background in drafting or engineering with a specialization in Mechanical or Mechatronics.
• Knowledge of design and calculation methods for railway‑type industrial machinery.
• Familiarity with railway sector regulations is a plus.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SolidWorks.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.

What we offer

• Permanent contract (indefinite).
• Full‑time schedule (40 hours/week) with two possible shift patterns: 07:00‑15:30 or 08:00‑15:50, Monday‑Friday.
