Human Resources Officer

About the role

The Human Resources Officer will act as an independent contributor supporting the HR function for Labrador Transparency’s Philippines‑based workforce. The role focuses on optimizing HR operations, driving employee engagement, and managing benefits administration for both full‑time staff and independent contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain data integrity in the HRIS through regular audits, clean‑ups and enhancements to improve accuracy and user adoption.
• Streamline manual HR processes by leveraging existing or new HRIS functionalities.
• Design and execute an annual employee‑engagement calendar, promoting events and measuring sentiment to refine the strategy.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end delivery of benefits programs (HMO, insurance, retirement/provident fund) with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Support talent‑management initiatives such as performance reviews, training programs and succession planning.
• Oversee onboarding, probation reviews, off‑boarding and ensure timely activation of employee milestones.
• Administer benefits enrollment, changes and terminations accurately and on schedule.
• Partner with payroll to reconcile time‑keeping data, resolve cut‑off issues and guarantee error‑free submissions.
• Serve as escalation point for complex employee or manager concerns related to time‑keeping and benefits.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of Philippine labor law and HR best practices.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy.
• Ability to communicate policies clearly and support positive employee‑management relations.
• Proactive problem‑solver comfortable handling confidential matters.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HRIS platforms.
• Experience with payroll and benefits administration systems.
