Human Resources Officer

About the role

The Human Resources Officer will support all core HR functions for a manufacturing plant, ensuring smooth employee relations, recruitment, payroll, performance management, training, compliance, and health & safety initiatives. This role works closely with operations leaders, union representatives, and external agencies to maintain a productive and compliant workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Handle employee concerns, grievances, disciplinary cases, and support investigations.
• Facilitate implementation of company policies, code of conduct, and union/CBA engagements.
• Support manpower requisition, hiring, and timely deployment of staff to plant operations.
• Monitor attendance, overtime, leaves, validate timekeeping records, and coordinate payroll issues.
• Assist managers with performance management processes, probationary evaluations, and goal cascading.
• Coordinate training schedules, monitor mandatory compliance training, and maintain training records.
• Implement employee engagement, wellness programs, company events, and CSR initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, DOLE, OSH regulations, and prepare HR reports and analytics.
• Partner with EHS teams on workplace safety, medical concerns, and return‑to‑work processes.
• Track plant manpower movements, vacancies, attrition, and support workforce planning.
• Facilitate HR documentation, audits, presentations, and process improvement projects.
