Human Resources Generalist – Employee Relations

About the role

The Human Resources Generalist will serve as the primary HR partner for a moderately sized employee population (approximately 200‑350 employees) within a manufacturing environment. This hands‑on role focuses on day‑to‑day employee relations, execution of HR programs, labor compliance, and enhancing the overall employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide full‑scope HR support for the assigned employee group, covering employee relations, HR program execution, labor compliance and employee experience.
• Act as the main point of contact for supervisors, managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and people‑related concerns.
• Manage employee‑relations cases, including investigations, documentation, corrective actions and resolutions in line with labor laws and internal policies.
• Execute core HR processes such as hiring, onboarding, performance‑management cycles, disciplinary actions, engagement activities and separations.
• Partner with managers to address performance or conduct issues and maintain operational continuity.
• Ensure compliance with labor regulations, support audits and maintain accurate HR documentation.
• Maintain employee data in HR systems, generate reports and analyze basic workforce metrics.
• Collaborate with HR Centers of Expertise (Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Learning & Development) to deliver consistent site‑level HR programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years of HR experience supporting a defined employee population.
• Working knowledge of labor laws, employee‑relations processes and HR policies.
• Proven ability to manage end‑to‑end HR support independently for a moderate employee base.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, operational environment.

Required skills
