HR Director – Lead People Strategy and Culture

About the role

As HR Director, you will shape and execute the organisation's people strategy, partnering with senior leadership to drive engagement, talent development and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the HR function, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Lead and develop a team of HR professionals to deliver sustainable people programmes.
• Design and implement employee engagement, retention and workforce planning strategies.
• Develop, review and execute HR policies, procedures and programmes for compliance and efficiency.
• Drive talent management initiatives including succession planning, leadership development and performance management.
• Oversee employee relations matters and provide guidance on complex people issues.
• Utilise workforce data and HR analytics to support decision‑making and continuous improvement.
• Foster an inclusive, high‑performance culture that supports wellbeing, growth and engagement.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in senior HR leadership roles, including leading HR teams.
• Proven track record of developing and executing organisation‑wide people strategies.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, HR governance and policy development.
• Demonstrated success in employee engagement, retention, talent management and organisational development.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive‑level communication skills.
• Experience partnering with senior leadership to influence business outcomes.
